Having an office on the outskirts of Wetherby really does have its perks. First of all there is the free parking spaces for over 100 cars, the very pleasant walk into town should you need anything and the feeling of being quite rural when in fact you are only minutes from Wetherby town centre and minutes from the A1. It also means that due to our location, we often have extra visitors around our offices that you do not get in a built up location. For example, we have more rabbits here than you can shake a stick at and the way rabbits breed, our numbers are rising rapidly! Added to that, during lock down we were regularly visited by several ducks who seemed to take a shine to our fields. Pheasants are also often spotted wandering around and can usually be heard before they are seen due to their crowing (which they seem to do for no apparent reason!). We also have had sightings of deer in the fields at the back of the offices on an evening, which is a rare and beautiful sight for anyone who spots them. We think (but haven’t yet spotted) that our latest resident is a badger as we have a rather large hole in the field that cannot have been made by a rabbit, mole, squirrel or anything else. Either that or someone has been out in the dead of night with a spade!. We’re keeping our eye out to see what may have dug this hole.

Added to all this we have numerous grey squirrels, two local cats (and kittens) and numerous different types of birds here on site, so in those moments of contemplation when you are staring out of the office window debating the meaning of life(!), there are certainly lots of things to catch your eye. Now where did I put that bird spotting book and my binoculars?
